People Are our Chemistry

At Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing, we believe that our people provide our strength. Their dedication to quality, team work, and customer satisfaction are the key elements in the company’s success. In this regular feature, we introduce you to some of the people who have helped make Eurofins an industry leader.

Scott and Vee KingsleyIn the spirit of streamlining and enhancing our clients’ service experience, Scott Kingsley devotes each day to ensuring biopharmaceutical testing projects begin optimally even before samples arrive at our door. As the company’s Online Ordering Senior Specialist, Scott spent the last year replacing the standard sample submission form with a new Online Ordering platform that reduces processing time, which equates to greater efficiencies for the client.

Through LabAccess.com, clients can enter their specific sample information and testing requirements and submit electronically. “This pre-entry in advance of samples getting to our Lab enables us to ensure everything is setup and ready to go,” says Scott. “We often see project TAT improvements of 1/2-1 full day off the timeline - the sooner we get the project information, the sooner we can perform testing, the sooner clients get their results.”

What does your current job entail?

As the Online Ordering Senior Specialist, I help to onboard clients into Online Ordering. That includes training them on how to use the system, helping with troubleshooting any issues and providing guidance internally and externally about the system.

What process improvements does your group initiate to serve clients better?

Online Ordering is helping make it quicker and easier for clients to submit their samples for testing while also allowing us to improve our turnaround time for sample registration.

Why should clients trust us with their projects?

Eurofins BPT is a world leader in testing services. We have cutting edge facilities, knowledgeable staff, and teams that care about the work we do and the impact it has on the world.

Given all of your responsibilities, how would you describe a typical workday?

It’s never the same. Some days I’m on multiple calls with clients training them on how to use Online Ordering. Other days I’m reviewing data to determine which clients to contact next and usage of the system for clients that are already using Online Ordering. Other days, I’m working with our Project Management and Sample Management Teams to work through challenging submissions and how we can better serve our clients in Online Ordering, or working through enhancement ideas of how we can make Online Ordering even better.

How would you characterize your leadership style?

Driven and supportive. When there is a task at hand, I try to remove all obstacles for those working on the project so that we can make it happen as quickly as possible. You’ve been here for 5 years (12/4) and seen countless changes.

Is there anything that hasn’t changed during your tenure?

The passion people have for what we do. The work we do has helped improve and save countless lives, including friends and family of mine. Whether it is a cancer treatment or supporting COVID vaccines and treatments, we make an impact on the world.

What kind of volunteer activities have you been involved with?

As cancer has touched a large number of friends and family, I ride the American Cancer Society Bridge to Beach cycling event from Philadelphia to Atlantic City. This past year, with the help of friends, family, and coworkers at Eurofins, we were able to raise over $1,600 to help the ACS.

And when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I’m either teaching indoor cycling group fitness classes, running my organic beard products business, or training for a cycling event. Through all of this, my wife, Vee, is there with me. We work together at Eurofins, and she is also a group fitness instructor (and my mentor), my Chief Fitness Officer at the beard products business, and my support team for cycling events.
