Firefighter jacket and firefighter trousers
The seams of the thermal lining break open and potentially expose the wearer to excessive heat.
The firefighting suit met the requirements of EN 469: 2020. However, this standard only requires strength testing of the outermost material. The strength of the thermal lining seams was not tested during the conformity assessment carried out before the product was placed on the market in Great Britain.
The firefighter jacket and trousers within the scope of the corrective action do not meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment.

It does not provide the required level of protection against high-speed particles, in accordance with the requirements of EN 166: 2001 for which the product claims compliance. There have been no reports of injuries, accidents or complaints associated with this defect.
The corrective action does not meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment.
