Terrestrial Safety Studies
Eurofins Regulatory Science Services’ terrestrial safety studies assess the acute and chronic effects of chemicals on non-target plants as well as soil- and plant-inhabiting organisms under GLP compliance.
Eurofins Regulatory Science Services provides the full complement of terrestrial safety services required to investigate the acute and chronic effects of chemicals on terrestrial organisms for global product submissions. We offer a wide range of standardized TIER I laboratory studies as well as more complex higher tier studies under extended laboratory, semi-field and field conditions with standard or special designs.
All studies are planned and performed by a highly experienced team of scientists and technical personnel according to the recent guidelines (IOBC, OECD, ISO, EPA) and guidance documents.
Our Terrestrial Safety Studies include:
- Terrestrial Plant, Tier I and Tier II greenhouse studies
- Seedling emergence
- Vegetative vigor
- Higher tier terrestrial
- Reproduction studies with biocides to ISO guidelines using Brassica plants
- Raised-bed and small-plot testing for higher-tier plan tests
- Semi-field designs with larger pots, hardening of plants and different ages at application
- Soil invertebrates
- Nitrification inhibition testing (OECD 216) and carbon mineralization (OECD 217)
- Earthworm acute (OECD 207) reproduction (OECD 222) tests
- Non-target invertebrates
