Michele Cavalleri has a master’s degree in Microbial genetics and has gained a solid expertise on efficacy assessment of disinfectants against microbes, viruses and biofilms in the area of healthcare. He is also member of the European Committee CEN TC 216 that establishes standardised methods of test and requirements for the antimicrobial efficacy of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. He is also a member of the Virus Task Group of the CEN TC 216.
He was also an ISO 17025 Lab Manager and GLP Test Facility Manager at Eurofins where he contributed directly to establish the virus clearance lab and the reprocessing lab.
He is currently Business Unit Cluster Manager of Biocide Testing and Virus testing business units and Senior Scientific Director for the validation of microbial inactivation and removal efficacy processes.
