Dr. Julia Brehm finished her PhD in genetics in December 2019. She is an employee of the department of validation and quality assurance since November 2019 and Head of Sterilisation at the Eurofins in-house EO sterilisation facility since January 2023. She has set up and performed validation on medical devices under ISO 19227, 11135, 11137 and 11607 for the cleaning, sterilisation and packaging of medical devices.
As Head of Sterilisation, she is responsible for the routine release and assessment of possible deviations. Furthermore, she is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of sterilisation cycles as well as product subordination to the existing sterilisation cycles within validation runs.
Dr. Julia Brehm has been part of the DIN standards committee for the sterilisation and reprocessing of medical devices since 2023 which facilitates knowledge and skill sharing with other experts.
