Emission Monitoring
In order to comply with (inter)national regulations for air emissions Eurofins Air Monitoring provides services to determine emissions on ships to evaluate current emissions or continuous improvement projects.
Starting 2017 (EU 2017/676) the European Union adopted the Stage V standards limiting the particle matter (PM) and particle number (PN) for non-road engines and classifications of sea-bound vessels. Compliance with these and other standards can be monitored by testing certificates from Eurofins Air Monitoring.
Eurofins Air Monitoring works according to ISO 17025 and has a broad scope of accredited and certified activities.
Air measurements are performed during different test cycles with variable load and speed of the vessel during which general physical parameters (humidity, temperature, pressure, speed) and a broad scope of specific parameters (CO, NOx, SOx, HC, PM, PN) can be defined.
Eurofins Air Monitoring has experience in partnering with international consultants to provide the required information, consultancy and certificates for your specific demands.
We will:
- Propose a measurement strategy according to your goals.
- Provide specialists and equipment to perform the measurements on board.
- Provide a detailed report of our findings and comparison with applicable legislation.
- Advise you on next steps, depending on your projects.
