Group Operating Council
The Group Operating Council carries out the Group's strategy and handles the day-to-day business. As of January 2023, the Group Operating Council consists of the following members:
Dr. Gilles G. Martin. Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Eurofins Scientific Group. Dr. Martin graduated as a Computer Science Engineer from Ecole Centrale in Paris, and subsequently obtained a Master of Science from Syracuse University (New York) and a PhD in Statistics and Applied Mathematics. Founding the original Eurofins Scientific Nantes food authenticity testing laboratory in 1987, Dr. Martin has expanded the company into a global bioanalytical network of over 900 laboratories in over 1,000 companies employing ca. 62,000 across 62 countries. Dr. Martin was a member of the Board of Directors of Bruker Corp. (NASDAQ: BRKR), serving as an independent director between 2014 and 2020. He is also a past President of the French Association of private analytical laboratories APROLAB, and of the North American Technical Committee for Juice and Juice Products (TCJJP) and of public bodies supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. |

Dr. Timothy S. Oostdyk. Executive Vice President BioPharma, Genomics and Agrosciences Services North America. Dr. Oostdyk graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania. He subsequently obtained a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Villanova University in Philadelphia. Dr. Oostdyk has extensive and diverse experience in the laboratory testing industry, and has published numerous technical and industry related papers. Over the last 25 years he has served in a variety of senior management roles, including President of Lancaster Laboratories where he led service line diversification and international expansion, and then integration in to the Eurofins Group. Today, he leads a geographically diverse and growing portfolio of laboratories serving the pharmaceutical, biologics, and medical device industries. |

Joachim Reichelt. Senior Vice President Food & Feed Testing Europe. Mr. Reichelt joined Eurofins in October 2019, continuing his 18-year-career in the food and private equity sector. He spent the majority of his career developing the reach and operations of frozen food retailer Eismann, followed by several years with Aryzta Group and most recently, Mr. Reichelt held the position of CEO at Hofmann Menu, a Partners Group portfolio company. Mr. Reichelt holds qualifications from Strathclyde Graduate School of Business and a BBA from the Open University in the UK. |

Yvoine Rémy. Senior Vice President Environment Testing Europe. Ms. Rémy joined Eurofins in 2016 to take responsibilities for Food and Environment testing across the Nordic, Central and Eastern European regions. Prior to joining Eurofins, Ms. Rémy started her career setting up an NGO in the Philippines and then had an international career in healthcare (Air Liquide) and optics (Essilor), in various Business Development and General Management positions, including some 15 years based in the Asia-Pacific region. Of Australian, New Zealand and French citizenships, Ms. Rémy is a graduate of HEC Paris (MBA), of the University of Otago (marketing), and of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). |

François Vigneau. Senior Vice President Food & Feed Testing Western Europe. Mr. Vigneau graduated from Institut National Agronomique in Paris. Having started his career within the Danone Group as quality and process manager in several biscuits plants, Mr. Vigneau joined Eurofins in 1996 as Operations Manager for the Nantes Laboratory. He took over the full responsibility of the Food Testing Division for France in 2008, for Southern Europe in 2013 and for Western Europe in 2018. In parallel, Mr. Vigneau is a key leader driving the IT programme initiatives for the Group’s Food Testing division. In addition, he serves as President of the French Association of private analytical laboratories APROLAB. |

Brian Williams. Executive Vice President Environment Testing North America, and Regional Multi Business Lines Leader Pacific. Mr. Williams joined Eurofins in 2017 with 30 years’ experience in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector. Prior to joining Eurofins, Mr. Williams was the Group General Manager of the Global Minerals Division at ALS Limited. His 30 year career with ALS extended Global and Divisional Group General Management roles across Minerals testing (Hard Rock Geochemistry, Metallurgy, Inspection, Solid Fuels), Environmental, Food, Pharmaceutical, Tribology, Non Destructive Testing and Condition Monitoring. Mr. Williams graduated from Griffith University (Australia) with a BSc in Environmental Studies, holds a Graduate Diploma in General Management from CQ University (Australia), and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). |

Laurent Lebras. Group Finance & Administration Director. Mr. Lebras joined Eurofins in 2015 from L’Oreal, where he served as CFO for the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Lebras graduated from HEC Paris and started his career at Energy Trading Corp. in New York as an International Controller and Domestic Business Manager. He then joined L’Oreal Paris as a SAP finance expert and Marketing Controller, growing into leadership positions as Director of Controlling & Finance for Gemey-Maybelline France, then Director of Finance and Operations (CFO) in South Korea, and became VP for Finance and Operations (CFO) for L’Oreal Japan, before eventually taking over the finance function for L’Oreal Asia-Pacific. |

Dr. Christian Wurst. Chief Operating Officer Food & Environment Testing. Since joining Eurofins in October 2019, Dr. Wurst has been tasked with the rollout of best practices and the implementation of key operations projects in Eurofins Food and Environment Testing business lines across the world. Dr. Wurst joined Eurofins from Panalpina, one of the world’s leading providers of supply chain solutions, where he served as Regional CEO Europe. Prior to that role, he held positions in the logistics industry with CEVA Logistics, Wincanton and DB Schenker. Dr. Wurst holds a Master of Science from WHU Otto-Beisheim School of Management and a PhD from Kassel University. |

Sean Murray. Senior Vice President Food Testing USA. Mr. Murray joined Eurofins in 2016 where he has led Eurofins food testing in the USA to a market leadership position through consistent, strong growth. Prior to Eurofins, Mr. Murray spent most of his career in manufacturing, starting as an engineer at medical device maker Stryker, moving to strategy consulting at McKinsey and Company, to then leading various businesses at industrial manufacturer, Worthington Industries. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of New Mexico and an MBA from Harvard Business School. |

Ramón Armas. Senior Vice President LATAM, Africa and Middle East. Mr. Armas joined Eurofins in 2021 and has over 20 years of experience in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector. Prior to joining Eurofins, Mr. Armas was the Executive Vice President of the Energy and Industry Division of Applus+ where he managed operations in the industrial market across five continents. Mr. Ramón graduated from Polytechnic University of Madrid with a degree in Forest Engineering. |

Beth DiPaolo. Senior Vice President Professional Scientific Services North America. With 35 years of experience in the testing industry, Ms. DiPaolo has held leadership roles serving the biopharmaceutical, medical device, environment, and product testing industries. Ms DiPaolo is responsible for Eurofins Professional Scientific Services (PSS), a recognised industry leader, which she launched in 2002 and has since expanded throughout North America, Europe, and Asia PAC. Ms DiPaolo is the executive sponsor for Eurofins’ Equality Driving Excellence initiative and serves on the Executive Steering Committee for ESG. Ms. DiPaolo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Management and Economics from State University of New York, a Master of Arts in Human and Organisational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, is a graduate of Drexel University, LeBow College of Business’ Center for Corporate Governance and is a member of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women. |

Gregg Tiemann. Executive Vice President Consumer Product Testing and Material Sciences North America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Tiemann joined Eurofins in 2022 bringing 25+ years of experience in the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector and 7 years in the Software industry. Prior to joining Eurofins Mr. Tiemann was EVP of Americas at Intertek. During his 25+ years at Intertek he held global leadership roles across Consumer Product, Electrical & Electronics, IoT-Cyber, Automotive, and Building & Construction Sectors. Gregg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the State University of New York. |
