Casa do Zezinho (Brazil)
Casa do Zezinho provides opportunities for children and young people living in socially vulnerable situations. Through education, it fosters action so that local society can become a better place. There are 1,300 families assisted daily by Casa do Zezinho, however more than 8,000 families in the community are still in desperate need of support. Casa do Zezinho’s mission is to enable children and young adults from low-income families and vulnerable settings to develop critical thinking and an autonomous attitude to make their own decisions in life, so they can unlock a brighter future.
In 2021/2022, the Eurofins Foundation supported the project “Se Cuida, Zezinho!”, which intends to promote mental, physical, cognitive and social health in 900 children and teenagers. It considers the psychological care for children, adolescents and young people as a vital strategic resource to improve future outcomes.
The Eurofins Foundation’s funding allowed the organisation to recruit professional staff. implement and monitor activities, as well as purchase equipment needed for workshops.
