French Endometriosis Research Foundation (France)
The French Endometriosis Research Foundation (FRE) was created in 2021 to accelerate research on endometriosis, by supporting innovative projects aiming to better understand the disease aetiology and its pathophysiology, to diagnose earlier, and to develop therapeutics.
In 2022/2023, the Eurofins Foundation is providing a research grant to Ms Alexandra Alvergne (CNRS, ISEM) for the ENDoHAD project Endometriosis and the Developmental Origins of Health and Disease.
This study will collect new data from women with endometriosis, as well as from control women, to analyse and demonstrate associations between prenatal testosterone, adult testosterone and oxytocin, the presence/absence of endometriosis, and levels of pain.
