Eurofins TA is now a CSA ATL for Matter Testing!
Eurofins TA, the Wireless Lab, and part of the global Eurofins E&E network of laboratories, has become a Matter Authorized Test Laboratory (ATL) recognized by the CSA (Connectivity Standards Alliance) on June 17, 2024. From now on, smart home and IoT devices makers can receive Matter product testing, certification, and guidance services from any Eurofins E&E location.
The CSA has been actively cooperating with technical experts and testing laboratories around the world. The CSA has conducted a rigorous review of Eurofins TA's testing capabilities, affirming its professionalism, technology, equipment, and qualifications, and finally granted Eurofins TA as an ATL (authorized certification lab).
What is Matter?
The CSA (Connectivity Standards Alliance) has released the Matter protocol and standards. The Matter protocol is a communication protocol built on top of the Internet Protocol (IP), aiming to achieve communication between smart home devices, mobile applications, and cloud services, and defines a set of specific IP-based network technologies for device certification.
By breaking the communication barriers caused by different wireless functions and different platform protocols, Matter can truly achieve the interconnection of smart home products, cross-system and cross-platform connection, control, and data sharing, making it possible for multi-platform, multiple wireless technology terminal products to communicate freely and form a smart network.
>Note: If the product supports Thread, Wi-Fi, and BT functions, it must obtain certification from relevant standard organizations before applying for Matter certification. Cybersecurity certification should be approved by the CSA's officially authorized third-party laboratories.
