Vegan Verification Programme for Cosmetics and Personal Care

Veganism has become a mainstream lifestyle choice adopted by an ever-increasing number of consumers, who view it as healthier and more sustainable. With veganism growing in prominence, the beauty industry has had to adapt to growing consumer demand for vegan-friendly products.

This innovative methodology provides a complete solution for cosmetics and personal care products which establishes whether any animal products or by-products have been used in their manufacturing and development process. Vegan Verification helps to specify vegan cosmetics products using a phased approach covering:

• Toxicological and Regulatory Assessment
• Animal DNA Analysis
• Declarations of conformity / labelling

Upon successful completion of testing, clients can qualify for the use of the Eurofins Vegan Verified Logo.  We can also refer you to the Vegan Society to complete any further necessary checks for eligibility for use of the Vegan Trademark.

This complete programme allows manufacturers, brands and retailers to properly test their products and label them as 100% vegan.

Note that Eurofins Cosmetics & Personal Care network of laboratories has also developed in vitro safety tests that are entirely vegan, supporting growing consumer demand for vegan supply chains.
