Eurofins BPT expands its US environmental monitoring onsite collection & testing footprint
Tom Lehman, PhD, Vice President of Microbiology
Environmental Monitoring programs allow for continued assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfectant procedures. These programs monitor microbial cleanliness of manufacturing facilities, clean rooms, and other controlled environments, ensuring these areas remain in a state of control.
Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (EBPT) supports clients with the design of environmental monitoring performance qualifications, consultation on environmental monitoring program design, as well as the collection and analysis of environmental monitoring samples. Services provided as part of Eurofins Environmental Monitoring support include the use of high-volume biological air samplers for the collection of viable air, use of portable air particle counters for the measurement of nonviable particulates and compressed gases, use of contact plates, as well as the validation or routine assessment of water systems.
EBPT offers significant incubation capacity, allowing support of any size Environmental Monitoring program. The EBPT Lancaster, PA, site has long supported our clients in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast with providing on-site collection services, as well as delivery services for samples collected by client staff.
To increase the geographical locations that EBPT can support, on-site collection services have been established in multiple locations nationwide. EBPT ENCO, located in both Cary, North Carolina, and Jacksonville, Florida, has established sample collection services and is ready to serve clients throughout the Southeast. The Eurofins site in Portage, Michigan, can support on-site environmental monitoring collection, providing service for the upper Midwest. Standardized equipment, training, and personnel practices allow EBPT to confidently provide support to our pharmaceutical and medical device customers across multiple client sites.
