Animal Welfare Certificate
(Bienestar Animal Certificado Welfair)
The Welfair® animal welfare certification is the only independent certificate approved by the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA).
Eurofins EIC is an approved Certification Body for a wide scope of slaughterhouse, including:
- Pigs for fattening
- Laying hens
- Chickens and hens for meat slaughter
- Piglets and piglets

The Q Mark for Food Quality
(La Marca Q de qualitat)
The Q Mark is the official certification awarded by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of Catalonia for high quality agriculture and food products, showcasing extra confidence to consumers. Eurofins EIC is approved to conduct Q Mark audit.
DPO/ DOP
(Protected Designation of Origin/ Denominación de Origen Protegida)
In order to protect the interests of producers and consumers, claim of origin of certain food products are restricted in Spain. Eurofins EIC is eligible to conduct audit and certify food products are produced in specific geographic areas and by specific production methods:
Olive Oil
Terra Alta (accreditation in process).
Wine (DOQ)
Liqueur (IGP)
