Eurofins Agroscience Services Pty Ltd has a number of bases across Australia with the Toowoomba facility located 130 km west of Brisbane on the crest of the Great Dividing Range. Toowoomba is the provincial capital of the region and is a centre for business and agriculture.

From the Toowoomba facility we can conduct a range of different trials including:
- Winter and summer crops - efficacy, safety and residue studies
- Plant variety evaluation for winter and summer crop types
- Agronomic field studies
- Horticulture efficacy, safety and residue studies
- Post entry quarantine studies with summer crops in a newly built glasshouse
- Work health and safety studies (mixer, loader, applicator)
A variety of equipment is available, including a range of sprayers, precision trial-plot seeders, harvesters and all the equipment necessary to conduct high quality studies that simulate most agricultural practices.
Cropping and Horticulture Capabilities
Australia offers a wide variety of crops, with Eurofins Agroscience Services Pty Ltd conducting trials on most crops across Australia, from arable crops to orchards, from vegetables and ornamentals to vineyards.
Toowoomba offers the opportunity to conduct trials on summer and winter field and horticulture crops grown under dry-land and irrigated conditions. The rich volcanic soils are black or brown self-mulching clay loams. The agricultural area is extensively irrigated and in winter grows wheat, barley, chick peas and other winter cereals and legumes and in summer, cotton, sorghum, maize, soybeans and sunflowers are major crops. There is intensive vegetable production including tomatoes, cucurbits and lettuce.
Quarantine Capabilities
Eurofins Agroscience Services recently opened a state-of-the-art, Post Entry Plant Quarantine facility in Toowoomba. Managed by experienced personnel and working closely with industry, the new facility delivers a long-term, faster and more efficient service for the grains, pulses and cotton industries well into the future."
Geography and Climate
East of Toowoomba is the Lockyer Valley where there is extensive vegetable production. South and west are the Darling Downs with a mixture of flat and undulating topography. The area has a sub-tropical climate with reliable winter rain and summer storms.
