At Eurofins Agroscience Services, we embed sustainability principles into our business strategy and the way we operate. This is an essential component in both creating long-term value and achieving our mission of contributing to a healthier and safer world.
Our global expertise in providing the highest-quality field, laboratory and regulatory services makes us a proud ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Enabler and preferred partner for companies aiming to develop more environmentally friendly products and practices to support the ongoing agricultural transformation.
As a leading partner to the agricultural industry and wider chemicals sector, we work closely with our stakeholders (customers, suppliers, employees, communities) to ensure services continuously evolve towards greater sustainability. With the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in mind, our policies focus on business-relevant subjects such as human rights, labour practices, the environment, and fair operating procedures. Since 2020, we have reported annually as a member of the United Nations Global Compact. Eurofins Agroscience Services has also participated in bi-annual Ecovadis evaluations since 2019, recently being awarded their silver medal, and started to report to the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), a gold standard in environmental reporting, in 2023.
Multiple sustainability projects are conducted at a local level each year and reduced our CO2 footprint in Europe and North Africa from 8.4 t/FTE to 6.3 t/FTE between 2021 and 2023.
Beyond environmental measures, responsible business practice in all regards is an absolute requirement for a global business and stringent measures are detailed in our corporate Code of Ethics and Sustainable Procurement Procedures to ensure this.
Eurofins Agroscience Services Group encourages stakeholders to raise concerns about any serious malpractice, e.g., breaches of the Group Code of Ethics or Anti-Bribery Policy, environmental incidents, or discrimination, via the Whistleblowing Point of Contact. Reports will be reviewed, and reporters will be protected from any penalisation or retaliation measures that may result from their reporting of these facts.
