Supplier Self-inspection Programme
Buyers can leverage the expertise of the Eurofins network in both product inspection and training to empower their suppliers through the Eurofins Supplier Self-inspection Programme.
The programme aims to build suppliers’ inspection capacity and to improve their resilience in situations where third-party on-site inspection is unable to conduct. Throughout the programme, buyers foster closer relationships with their suppliers, and thereby build a stronger supply chain.
The Supplier Self-inspection Programme is a sustained approach to ensure that suppliers meet buyers’ inspection requirements through a programme of on-going assessment, training and monitoring.
- Assessment: assess current competency of suppliers
- Training: use of on-site or online training to train suppliers on inspection principle, skills, processes, critical points, and other specification as per buyers’ inspection protocols and certification requirements
- Monitoring: monitor inspection quality of suppliers by un-announced audits or other measures to ensure consistent quality delivery
Eurofins is now accredited by ISO/IEC 17020:2012 for consumer products inspection services by ANAB!
Data from this programme can be stored in Eurofins Assurance OnLine to deliver analytics to inform and optimise sourcing decisions.
The programme is highly customisable, and particularly benefits buyers who are looking to strengthen their suppliers’ ability to both more effectively manage quality inspection and facilitate final inspection on site.
